Nightingale Lodge
Florence Nightingale (1820-1910) is best known for her role during the Crimean War and is considered a founder of modern nursing.

She spent much of her childhood at her uncle Peter's estate at nearby Lea Hurst that was bequeathed to Florence's father on condition he take the Nightingale name.
