Getting here

By Car: Our location is easily accessible being just 1 mile from Wirksworth town centre and 5 miles from Matlock. The M1 motorway at Junction 28 is around 12 miles / 20 minutes journey away.
We are in a countryside location so please take extra care because roads can be narrow in places and often there are tractors or livestock that can take up the whole road.
By Train: Local main-line train stations can be found at Cromford and Whatstandwell. These stations do not have taxi ranks so you are advised to book a taxi in advance - there are plenty of local taxi firms, please get in touch if you would like a list.
Wirksworth train station is a heritage railway with trains running regularly from Duffield (also on the main line from Derby).
Why not travel in style and coordinate your journey with one of these elegant trains?
Visit the Ecclesbourne Valley Railway website to find out more.

By Bus: Trentbarton run the local bus service, the "Sixes". Yellow 6.1 goes from Derby, via Belper and Wirksworth to Matlock and Bakewell. There is also a Stagecoach service, Gold X17.
Bus stops are located in Wirksworth town centre, approximately 1 mile away.

By Bicycle: The National Cycle Network route 54 can be accessed via the High Peak Trail at Black Rocks. This is just 1 mile along Oakerthorpe Road.
From the High Peak Trail you can access the Tissington Trail, the Pennine Way (NCN Route 68) and the new White Peak Loop.
